Phil McAndrew is having a contest! It is almost closed, but it did inspire me to do a drawing from Punchdrunk Love. I should really do a companion drawing for Popeye. I love both those movies so much.

I love both those movies.

You have made me want to get out my crayons.

I would love to see a Popeye counterpart.

I was working on a Popeye one, but I'm not sure if I am happy with it.

That scene is so awesome, especially with your expectations after his first encounter with the thugs.

A beautiful magical movie!

Punch-Drunk is my favorite of P.T. Anderson's films. I really felt it was the one that offered a unique vision. Nice to see it has other fans. Sandler's amazing, too.
Love the impressionist pencil crayon work. Always making the BEST marks on paper...

I love all P.T.Anderson's movies, but this might be my favourite. The Popeye connection helps too, as I have been fixated on that since I was 10. There is a little hint of the "He Needs Me" song in the music at the start during the credits, and I was flipping out as soon as I heard it.

I felt like I could have gotten a little crazier with the lines here, but at the same time I sort of wanted to make it as lush and beautiful as the movie.
